1John
5:10 ¶ He that believeth on the Son of
God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a
liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given
to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he
that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son
of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on
the name of the Son of God.
As the
Father testifies of the Son and the Son of the Father the person who does not
believe in and on Christ is calling the eternal God of the universe a liar. God
has given us eternal life and this life is found only through Christ. If you
have the Son you have life and if you do not have the Son you do not have life.
John
3:36 He that believeth on the Son
hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;
but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John says he has written these things so that we can
confidently believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and have confidence that we will
live with Him forever and ever through eternity. Praise God!!!
