Exodus, chapter 31

1 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

He has been FILLED with the spirit of God. These men have the Holy Spirit in them which is in opposition to the heresy taught in virtually every Christian school that in the Old Testament the Holy Spirit didn’t fill them but came ON them ONLY, not In them. The Holy Spirit is not revealed in the Old Testament as a person, but more as an influence. In spite of what your favorite preacher might have said, if he denies that the Holy Spirit ever filled anyone in the Old Testament under the law, then he is either a liar or is an illiterate.

All artistic talent comes from God. If you have the ability to engrave or draw or create music or sing and you choose to serve Satan with it and not God by using it in a secular matter to support the desires of the flesh then you will answer to God.

4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;

An artist from the tribe of Judah, affiliated with Jesus Christ, and one from the tribe of Dan, affiliated with the Anti-Christ as I mentioned in Genesis, are to be used here. Isn’t it interesting also how Aaron is to wear an ephod that resembles Satan’s apparel in the Garden of Eden before his rebellion and casting of a stumbling block for Adam? There is something going on here that is very prophetic but at this point I can’t figure out what it is. Maybe those people smarter and more spiritual than myself can understand it. I’ll explore it as I go, here.

Wisdom is a gift. God gives you the work to be done and then gives you the men to do it, or it is not from God. Many preachers are astounded at the lack of laborers for their work and the problem is that it is THEIR work and not God’s.

7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,
8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,
9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,
10 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office,
11 And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.
12 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

Sabbaths are a sign between the Jews and God. This is shown outside of the Ten Commandments to underscore its importance. Notice that in the part of the Bible that doctrinally applies to you, Christian, that keeping the Sabbath or Sabbaths is not found.

Romans 13:1 ¶ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 ¶ Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. 8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

For those denominations who believe that Saturday Sabbath should still be observed or that Sunday is the Sabbath, do you put people to death for working on that day? Even in our country, until the Roman Catholic Church took control, there was mail delivery on Sunday until about 1912.

15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

The Sabbath is a SIGN between God and the people of Israel, not the church.

1Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

For the church;

Romans 13:7 ¶ Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

The Sabbath is not mentioned in this review of the Law that applies to us in this age. We are not saved by these things, or kept, but these are what is expected of us.

If you believe that you have to keep the Jewish Sabbath as a Christian, do you think you should be killed if you violate it? I doubt it.

18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
