Bible Study on Revelation 22, verses 20 and 21, Amen

Revelation 22:20 ¶  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 21  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Again, Christ states that He is going to return quickly, suddenly, in a fast manner. Think of how quickly the Berlin Wall fell and how the events of the Soviet Union’s demise seem to come out of nowhere with the Chernobyl disaster, Gorbachev’s Glasnost, and other things that happened swiftly.  Look at the American War Between the States when Southern States containing many leaders in border states who were against secession suddenly changing their minds when Lincoln forced their hand.  Things in history can happen suddenly and turn on a dime, so to speak.

Here is a prayer we all should make, Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Titus 2:13   Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

The Bible closes with a blessing, a blessing we would do well to include in our prayers for others and in our declarations to our brothers and sisters in Christ. The grace, the unmerited, undeserved, mercy of God be with you all and be on your life every day and in every moment. Amen, meaning so be it, so it is, may it be fulfilled, as Strong’s dictionary says.

Christ have mercy.
