Kasserine: An Anatomy of Slaughter by Charles Whiting, published by Scarborough House, 1984.This battle was the first large scale contest between German and American forces during World War II and it was a disaster for the American Army. This is also the stage for one of the opening scenes of the movie, Patton, where he is about to take over command of the beaten American forces. Its a brutal book. I recommend it for World War II buffs.
