Night of the Silver Stars, The Battle of Lang Vei, by William R. Phillips, Naval Institute Press, 1997. This is one of those riveting and truly great books about a little known battle in the Second Indochina War, which we usually just call the Vietnam War. It was a battle in which the North Vietnamese Army used tanks. This battle was a loss for the Americans and their indigenous allies but an incredible story of bravery. It is a must read for anyone who lived in that era or is interested in it, about the war we never were told the truth about in the news media and in popular entertainment. Get it and read it and you'll enjoy it.
